Friendly Fire
Trump takes incoming from his Supreme Court on tariffs
Trump’s usually-friendly Supreme Court shot down his global tariffs in a 6-3 ruling. As many pundits have pointed out, this could actually be a win for Trump, if he’d just take it. The economy would likely rebound and inflation worries would ease. Many conservatives have been celebrating the ruling, some openly, others secretly. The stock market shot up on the news. But, of course, this is Trump we’re talking about, the Toddler-in-Chief. Obviously, he took the news as a personal affront and immediately threw a tantrum. Not only has he doubled down on the current tariffs, but he’s promising more, claiming he’ll soon sign an order imposing a new 10% global tariff, screeching, “…I am allowed to cut off any and all trade or business with that same country. In other words, I can destroy the trade. I can destroy the country!” I don’t think anyone takes him seriously anymore, even in his own party. He’s like a nuisance child with a bazooka. They know he’s wrecking any chances they might have in the midterms and there’s not much they can do about it.

I hope they all go down during the midterms and we can finally start righting this ship again.
