Trump's solution to the affordability crisis is for Americans to "give up" stuff
Trump and his GOP minions in Congress are staring down the barrel of a rout in the midterms over the fact that millions of Americans are struggling with the cost of groceries, housing, health insurance — you know, basically everything. So, Trump has hit the road to offer his proposals to ease the affordability crisis, as it’s come to be known. Here’s what he said yesterday:
“You know, you can give up certain products. You can give up pencils. That’s under the China policy. You know, every child can get 37 pencils. They only need one or two, you know. They don’t need that many. …
You don’t need 37 dolls for your daughter. Two or three is nice, but you don’t need 37 dolls.”
Yeah! Americans loooove to be told to just suck it up and get over it! Great strategy! This isn’t the first time he’s told little girls they don’t need so many dolls. I drew this back in May:
